In everyday life, we often use plastic bags. Polyethylene bags are a popular type of package that can be used for different purposes: for storing products, clothes, stationery, equipment and many other things. In addition, polyethylene packages can serve as a kind of area of advertising. And the widespread prevalence of this type of product is caused by its high practicality, as well as low cost.
This type of packaging material is quite popular in stores and in the market there are a lot of it. Therefore, it is not difficult to buy packages. Currently, the strength of plastic bags is increasingly increasing due to the fact that various additives are added to their composition, which increase the strength and durability of the bags.
The very process of making packages looks as follows. Granular polymers with the form of balls, if there are special additives in them, enter the extruder hopper. After which they are unloaded with a supply screw. During movement along the screw, these very granules heat up and begin to gradually melt.
The result is a molten mixture, which is then subjected to the process of homogenization, that is, it acquires a homogeneous state. Then the process of extrusion occurs, in which the film is continuous by pushing in the forming head. After all this process, a polymer film or sleeve appears. And in order for the film to acquire the required uniform thickness, special rolls are used, which are also called calendars.
The material for the manufacture of polyethylene packages is high and low pressure polyethylene.
