Not a single garden or a site around the house can do without tracks, because after rain it will be impossible to move near the house, or rather, it is possible, but there will be so many dirt on your feet that you will have to return home to put your shoes in order. Therefore, the paths are one of the obligatory attributes of a personal plot.
Paths can not only bear the practicality and ease of movement on the ground with their presence, they can also act as an excellent design solution. That’s just before they should adhere to several rules that will help to harmoniously fit them into the overall design and at the same time not focusing on their availability. For this, the paths should not be made wider than 40 cm, 30 cm is enough with a head, so that one person can easily pass, it is very rare that you have to warm up with someone on the same path, because in fact this is not a city sidewalk with a large human flow. Also, the central path leading to the entrance to the house should be larger than the others, that is, how to act as a central highway.
Now you can talk about what will act as a building material for paths in the garden. Here everything is given into your hands, because any material can become the basis. Someone likes stone slabs, someone wants to make paving slabs, someone has enough crushed stone or gravel, and someone will come up with something else.
If there is a fallen tree nearby, then the paths can be made from circles of wood, only it is advisable to pre-treat them with something so that they last longer and do not rot from the rains, at least it is worth treating them with an antiseptic, and as a maximum it is worth walking with varnish from above.
A good solution would be to make mosaic paths, they will look great throughout the site. And if you use the color scheme that was used for the general design of the house when decorating, then they will fit perfectly into the interior. For mosaics, you can use small or large ceramic tiles or pebbles.
We do not recommend using sand or fine gravel for paths, of course, the process of building paths will not take much time, but such paths will lose in quality. Small items will be carried throughout the site, and soon there will be nothing left of the path, and a lot of garbage will be carried into the house, which means extra cleaning of the hallway.
