As part of the state program to reduce the cost of mortgage loans to the level of 3 percent per annum, a rather significant event took place on November 28: in the village of Vyshneve, in the Kiev region, the thousandth contract was signed. For this period of time, the total number of citizens of the country who confirmed their right to receive compensation, and the possibility of working out the possibility of obtaining a loan, in accordance with the conditions put forward by banking structures, exceeded the mark of 2.2 thousand people. It is also noteworthy that this figure is constantly growing.
If we consider in more detail the implementation of the state program to provide young people with preferential housing, then for a given period of time the State Fund is considering more than 16 thousand relevant applications regarding the possibility of obtaining preferential loans.
Over the period of this year, government agencies under various programs managed to provide housing for more than 3.5 thousand citizens who needed it. In accordance with the adopted plan for the development of the construction industry and providing the country’s citizens with affordable housing, about 10 thousand apartments will be built by 2013, and by 2015 it is planned to reach the figure of 100 thousand apartments.
Earlier, Mykola Azarov made a statement according to which the provision of housing by the state for 200,000 domestic families annually will allow for 10 years to completely solve the housing problem. It is rather difficult to say how feasible such plans are.
